About
Dr. Fronczak
of Modern Urology Colorado

Dr. Carolyn Fronczak is the founder and Medical Director of Modern Urology Colorado and a board certified urologist in Colorado Springs, CO serving men and women throughout the Front Range. She is certified by the American Board of Urology, earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and has treated thousands of patients with conditions ranging from enlarged prostate and kidney stones to bladder issues, urologic cancers, and sexual health concerns. Dr. Fronczak is known for her thorough, compassionate approach to care, her willingness to listen, and her belief that patients should be active partners in their own treatment decisions.
Education and Training
Dr. Fronczak’s medical training spans some of the most respected institutions in the country. Her education reflects both the breadth of her clinical foundation and her commitment to evidence-based urologic care.
Dr. Fronczak is a Colorado native. She attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School and graduated from Fairview High School before earning her undergraduate degree cum laude from Wellesley College in Massachusetts, where she completed dual majors in Biology and Economics.
She then returned to Colorado, where she earned a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Colorado. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed her general surgery and urologic surgery residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
This combination of public health training and surgical specialization gives Dr. Fronczak a perspective that many urologists lack. She does not just treat the condition in front of her. She looks at the larger picture, including lifestyle factors, prevention strategies, and long-term health outcomes, because that is how she was trained to think.
Clinical Philosophy: Finding the Root Cause and Partnering with Patients
Dr. Fronczak believes that the best outcomes happen when patients understand their condition, their bodies, and their options. She does not make decisions for you. She makes decisions with you. This shared approach to care creates meaningful, lasting relationships between Dr. Fronczak and the people she treats.
Her clinical philosophy is built on three principles. First, she investigates the root cause of every urologic problem rather than simply managing symptoms. Second, she offers conservative, non-surgical treatment options before recommending a procedure whenever it is clinically appropriate. Third, she uses the most advanced evaluation tools and treatment technologies available to ensure that every recommendation is grounded in current evidence.
Modern Urology is independently owned. That independence means Dr. Fronczak can spend unhurried time with each patient, make treatment decisions based on what is best for you rather than institutional protocols, and provide continuity by being the same physician you see at every visit.
Specializations and Clinical Expertise
Dr. Fronczak’s expertise spans the full range of urologic conditions in both men and women. In a region where most urology practices are part of large hospital networks or multi-physician groups, that level of personal attention is rare and valued.
