Many men find that injection therapy provides excellent results when pills aren’t sufficient. We provide thorough in office instruction and a trial injection so you understand the process completely. When should men start getting screened for prostate cancer?
Dr. Fronczak recommends PSA screening and digital rectal examination for men with life expectancy greater than 10 years. Men without family history should begin screening at age 50. If you have a family history of prostate cancer, especially a father or brother diagnosed with the disease, screening should start earlier at age 40 to 45. African American men also have higher risk and benefit from earlier screening. The decision about when to start screening involves a conversation about your individual risk factors and the benefits and limitations of PSA testing.
