Retropubic midurethral sling

An outpatient surgical procedure that involves placing a hammock of artificial mesh around the urethra to provide support. In providing support to the urethra, the leakage stops.

A retropubic sling is different from vaginal mesh. Retropubic slings have never been pulled by the FDA, are safe if placed properly.
